Elite donor dam shows her class at Beef Australia 2018

The progeny of elite female Bulliac Ester J21, a female Reiland Angus invested in three years ago, was on display at the nation’s biggest beef industry event, Beef Australia 2018.

The daughter of Bulliac Ester J21, the August 2015 drop Bulliac Ester L42, was shown with a thumping bull calf at foot, at the event, held at Rockhampton in May.

Reiland Angus in partnership with Brad Probert, Spring Hill Highlands Angus, Woodlands, NSW, bought a 50 per cent share in J21 and L42 at Beef Australia 2015.

Reiland co-principal Mark Lucas said flush offspring were now on the ground, with pregnancies due in the near future.

The August 2013 drop J21 was sired by Sydgen CC & 7 (IMP USA) and has BREEDPLAN figures of +115kg for 600 day weight, +1.3% for IMF, +3.7sqcm for eye muscle area, +1.4% for retail beef yield and +$102 for heavy grain index.

Sired by Karoo D145 Generator G220, Bulliac Ester L42 has BREEDPLAN figures of +111kg for 600 day weight, +4.8sqcm for eye muscle area, +2.4% for IMF and +$101 for heavy grain index.

The females were bred by the Hill family, Bulliac Angus, Miles, Queensland.
