2025 Yearling Bull Sale - Friday 10th October

Quality genetics and carcase data in Reiland catalogue

Sons of the influential New Zealand sire Matauri Reality will be among the outstanding lineup of yearling bulls at the Reiland Angus spring online bull sale.

The Tumut based stud has 30 bulls catalogued for the sale on AuctionsPlus on Friday, October 10.

There are also two sons out of the proven donor dam HR Barwon D7 who descends from the dominant Te Mania Barwon family.

Reiland co-principal Mark Lucas said these bulls were difficult to fault in any respect and offered both commercial and registered breeders an opportunity to access strong maternal bloodlines to build fertility, constitution and carcase performance.

“Several sons of Reiland Raby R325 are catalogued and offer post +160kg 600-day weight estimated breeding values, making them well suited for cow herd joinings to take advantage of the forecast 30 per cent increase in beef values over the next five years,” Mr Lucas said.

He said all the bulls on offer emanated from embryo transfer and AI programs the stud had used to deliver elite young sires for fast tracking genetic gain.

“For over 50 years there has been a stringent selection of type, structure, easy care, birth to growth and elite carcase traits at Reiland,” he said.

“The majority of the bulls on offer are suited to heifer joinings with a focus on calving ease, low birth, and above average Angus breed growth.”

According to Mr Lucas, the bulls have responded amazingly well in the past six weeks as pasture growth has developed.

“Of note will be several flush brothers to the spring sale high selling bull by Pine View Mogul G241. They are soft and easy doing and display low birth and up to +140kg for 600-day weight.”

Additional stand outs include a Dunoon Recharge son in Reiland V80 who posts a +5.4 IMF score.

The bulls are listed on AuctionsPlus and available for inspection by contacting the selling agents Elders Gundagai/Tumut & Adelong, Nutrien Ag Solutions Wagga or Sam Lucas on 0402 450 686.  The bulls will also be yarded on sale day from 10.30am for inspection.
