Stud stock industry saddened by passing of Kevin Norris

Mark Lucas presents the late Kevin Norris with a fishing for upon his retirement.

It is with a saddened heart we have learnt of the passing of legendary stud stock auctioneer Kevin Norris.

Kevin was a well known identity across the breadth of both the Australian and New Zealand livestock industries.
He was born and raised in New Zealand and was a competitive athlete against well respected Wrightson stud stock agent Kevin Ryan. His move to Australia and gradual progression through several livestock positions and companies saw Kevin become one of the most respected and talented auctioneers to work for, serving with Elders and Landmark (Nutrien Ag Solutions).
Reiland Angus was privileged to have elite auctioneers in Kevin and Michael Glasser stand over numerous bull sales at Killimicat Station.
Kevin was a tremendous contact for Reiland Angus when selecting genetics in New Zeland, given his strong working relationship with the industry there. He enjoyed assessing and selling quality livestock, be it cattle, sheep and horses.
He enjoyed trying to pick “fast horses” to varying degrees of success. His colourful character and ability to readily assess livestock and recall pedigrees will be sorely missed across the industry.
The Lucas family extends our sincere condolences to his wife Anna and family.
